Security and access

At South Dorset Storage, we pride ourselves on the highest security levels. Our storage facilities form part of our family’s working farm, which means we live on site right next door to the storage areas.

 

All areas are fully-secure and fitted with alarms and 24 hour CCTV. For security reasons, no customers hold keys to access the storage areas so, whenever you need your vehicle, we get it out and return it once you have finished using it.

 

Opening hours

We are open Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm and Saturdays from 8am to 12.30pm (please ask if you wish to access your vehicle outside of these hours). To ensure we can meet your requirements, we ask for 48 hours notice to remove your goods from the store, however, we can usually accommodate requests at shorter notice.

Insurance

South Dorset Storage is insured and covered for risk against fire and theft, and against negligent damage to goods in its custody or control, subject to the overall common law responsibility of the owner of those goods.

​

We strongly recommend all owners insure their own vehicles and goods.

Services

​

At the end of the winter storage period, all vehicles are eligible to a free wash-down ahead of collection. If you would like your caravan or motor home to be serviced, we can put you in touch with a fully trained engineer, who will service your vehicle on site.

​

We also offer a flexible collection and delivery service to suit your requirements, delivering your boat, caravan or other vehicle to the destination of your choice.

​

Fully insulated and alarmed individual self-storage units are also available onsite and are ideal for storing classic cars and smaller items, such as furniture and documents.
